Glycemic Index (GI) Bands.

GI Bands Used on this Site.
"Quick" conversion to Blood Sugar:GI 60 or more
"Medium" conversion to Blood Sugar:GI 59 to 40
"Slow" conversion to Blood Sugar:GI 39 to 20
"Very Slow" conversion to Blood Sugar:GI 19 or less

Many other sites and some commercial products use different definitions.

"High GI"= 70 or more
"Medium GI"= 69 to 55
"Low GI"= 54 or less

Why does this Site use Different Bands?

Diabetic's need the extra information.

Frankly a standard that shows Potato Crisps with a GI of 54 and Low Fat unsweetened Yoghurt with a GI of 14, both in the same range (Low) is to wide to be useful for a diabetic in my opinion.

Also I think that showing sucrose (table sugar) with a GI of 65 in the Medium GI band gives the wrong message.
