Glycemic Index (GI) Bands. | |||||||||||||||||
Many other sites and some commercial products use different definitions.

Why does this Site use Different Bands?Diabetic's need the extra information.Frankly a standard that shows Potato Crisps with a GI of 54 and Low Fat unsweetened Yoghurt with a GI of 14, both in the same range (Low) is to wide to be useful for a diabetic in my opinion. Also I think that showing sucrose (table sugar) with a GI of 65 in the Medium GI band gives the wrong message. Peter |
